St John the Divine

We want and hope to go on further developing new patterns for living and sharing our life with others. In 2005 the Community studied the essence of the Religious Life. In 2006-07 we worked on a suggested new model for living Religious Life, where our life could be shared by those not only wanting to live alongside but by those wishing to make a commitment as a Lay Member. We go on praying that there will be those interested and challenged to know more. It is hoped that the setting up of this website will help in this way.We continue to be open to new ways in which God might use us here:

• We continue to build friendships with our Muslim neighbours here and pray these links will bear fruit in many different ways.

 




• We would like to do more in the field of reflexology and complementary therapies.

 




• We are also very aware of the pressures under which clergy and lay people live and work and would seek to provide a place of rest and refreshment and space for reflection, quietness and prayer.

 




• All our Ministries seek to reflect something of the ethos of our Community which has broadened to cover all aspects of health, healing, reconciliation and pastoral care in its widest context, ministries that all seek in helping people find wholeness.

 




• This includes each Sister developing gifts in a personal Ministry either within the house or in the local area; Ongoing Formation.
