Our Lucy

We are a small Anglican Religious Community founded in 1848 and living here in Birmingham since 1976.

The ethos of our Community has always been to do with health and healing, but the last 30 years have been a time of enormous evolutionary change in the whole of our life style, with an ethos now embracing all aspects of health, healing, pastoral care and reconciliation in its widest context.

We have also prayed and worked towards the vision of a new expression of the Religious Life for the future. For Religious Life to find that new expression we believe there has to be a willingness to share our life with others, as was the case in earlier centuries.

The Sisters form the core for a growing number of Associates, Alongsiders and visitors who come and share much of our life.

The Community is a Registered Charity and we publish an Annual Report each autumn.

Available on Request.
